"Where God is Glorified and Learning is Fun!"

Cornerstone Academy began its ministry in the 1998-1999 school year as a result of the dream of our administrator of a school which provides a Christ-centered education in an engaging, individualized approach to learning.  Cornerstone began operations at Twin Rivers Worship Center in South St. Louis County and moved to its present location in the St. Bernadette Centre, to accommodate growth, prior to the 2001-2002 school year.  The school has grown from a core group of faculty and staff of six to fifteen members and a student population from twelve to approximately one hundred.  However, our purpose has remained the same: to glorify God and to make learning fun.

Our Beginning

Cornerstone vision

We envision Cornerstone Academy as a(n):

Christian school in which Jesus Christ is the chief Cornerstone of all that we teach and do (Ephesians 2:20-22).

Opportunity for students to learn in a safe environment where respect for self and others is demonstrated and where integrity guides behavior.

Rounded learning experience which promotes academic, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual growth.

Nurturing environment in which each student is loved, valued, and respected.

Extension of Christian families as they develop in their children a strong foundation of knowledge and faith.

Rich educational program which builds tomorrow's leaders one student at a time.

We envision Cornerstone Academy students as:

Seekers of truth through the Holy Scriptures, the academic curriculum, and the world around them.

Team members who pray for and support each other.

Owners of their actions and responsibilities (accountable).

Naturally curious and enthusiastic learners.

Enthusiastic participants in activities which develop.
